Grant is a Lead Consultant at YourAnglingVoice, with a strong track record of leading positive engagement with the angling community and working alongside developers and the commercial and recreational fishing sectors. 

During his time as the Sea Angling Engagement manager at the Angling Trust, Grant was pivotal in enviromental campaigns such as leading the successful opposition to netting in Salcombe Harbour – You can read more about that here!

Grant’s long history in recreational sea angling has seen him build a large network across all sectors, including manufacture, retail, the charter skipper fleet, media, fisheries management and the anglers themselves. He is just as at home speaking to anglers on the shingle as he is debating with senior DEFRA or MMO officials in formal settings. 

Recently, Grant was able to use his engagement and key stakeholder management skills to bring the developers of Hinkley Point C (HPC) into the same room as the manufacturers of a key acoustic fish deterrent for the first time in 8 years, after all previous attempts at talks had broken down. This paved the way to HPC listening to the local communities and identifying solutions to progress with acoustic fish deterrents whilst also committing to ongoing reviews of any negative impact on fish stocks HPC would have.
