The 10 Inshore Fisheries and Conservation Authorities (IFCAs) in England, along with the Marine Management Office (MMO) and Department for the environment, farming and rural affairs (DEFRA), frequently run consultations on matters with a high impact on anglers. Whether that is local byelaws  from the IFCAs, marine licenses  from the MMO or Fishery Management Plans (FMPs) from DEFRA, rarely is there a period when a number of consultations are not live. 

The problem for most anglers is that these consultations are poorly published, to the point where many go through their process before most anglers are even aware of them. It is left to the individual to hunt down the information, which is scattered across many different sites, in different formats and therefore inaccessible to the masses. 

We aim to identify and highlight all live consultations that could impact recreational sea anglers and post them here. In addition, we will provide a copy of our response and advice on how you can add your own response.
